Why don’t You cut off the disease
Why do You allow the pain,
in ourselves, in our loved ones,
the hurt to continue;
Do You hear me, Lord,
when they attack
when the leaders do not help us,
when our protectors are silent
seemingly indifferent, uncaring;
Those who are blind to the hurt
what they have gotten away with,
still earning a paycheck
with no other consequence?
Why don’t You exact judgment;
Don’t You hear us, oh God?
