The curtain torn, the distance
the chasm between heaven and earth
bridged in the moment
the moment he came up out of the water
the baptized, cleaned, redeemed son
Rising up from the water,
light of God descending
piercing through the curtain
the heavens opened to His glory
His spirit descending from heaven
onto the one who would save
illuminate the darkness
be a beacon in the storm
and our way home
