It was his star, that singular moving star
like the pillar of fire, the moving cloud of the exodus
a star that moving before them,
leading them to the babe, his mother
to the birthplace of the king
where others could not go;
they followed the star
to his bed, to pay him homage
with presents worthy
for the babe, the king
