Sharing Our Abundance

A profound message
sharing our abundance
something they, the children
readily understood
when asked what do you do
if your basket, your cup,
your cornucopia is overflowing
they answered clearly, boldly,
would that it were so
that we adults so readily
reached the same conclusion
rather than keeping the excess
for ourselves, hoarding our wealth
when so many are in need of so much
