Errands to Keep

Before she is able to rest
back in his arms again
the son she brought into this world
waiting in the next for her

Errands to keep
in this life
children to raise
no time for sleep

Ready for the work to end
to be with him once again
but mindful as a mother is
the errands to keep
before she herself can rest
