We Should Do Better

Our record convicts us
sins of omission as well
where we should stand up
unjust silence instead

Our call from our master
to repent, to be clean
to care for our neighbor
that none would be in need

Our wealth staggering
abundance overflowing
empty our barns of their excess
focus on God instead
