Ancient Words/Modern Words

The ancient words of promise
of the presence of the Lord
the modern words of scripture
his truths to be told
in words we can comprehend
in the language of our times
yet true now as then
God right beside us
equipping us for service
calling us to go to our neighbors
the lost sheep in the world
with his message of love
