Gathering Sheep

We are the staff
the gathering rod
sent into the world
to gather lost sheep
where they have wandered
out of our pews
the walls of our buildings
out into the world
to find those who are lost
in the wilderness
away from God
that all may be found
brought into the flock once more
into the loving arms of God
