We sit with our neighbors
our sisters, our brothers
some who are just like us
some different from us
Gathered together
lifting up our burdens
our sorrows and joys
our challenges in this life
Sharing together, in the congregation
to encourage our care for each other
loving our neighbors
as we have been called
Reaching out further
because more are suffering
calling us to go
out into the world
So much hurt
so much struggle
needing God’s love
just to survive
So much hope
joy in this place
needing to be shared
offering his amazing grace

to reassure us of his love, to encourage
our care for each other, to remind us

as people who bear his name,
Come, let us worship him!”
