The Dove from Above

God descending
the dove from above
the Spirit entering in
becoming a child
Living with us
walking as a man
the root of Jesse
growing to become
the servant to our maker
the God who is our King
Descending to the earth
climbing the rugged cross
descending to the dead
dying for all of us
Rising from the grave
to His throne above
waiting for the time
when He will return for us
