We need to let go of our troubles
our struggle on this earth
to focus on this joy
that God came to the earth
We are only clay vessels
broken jars made of the earth
yet because He came from heaven
we too have new birth
God descended from heaven
coming, vulnerable, as a child
walking the earth as we do
able to choose His path
Yet unlike any other
Christ choosing the cup
to empty himself of the earth
to fill himself with Love
Going to Jerusalem
though knowing his fate
willingly climbing the cross
his body pierced for us
Dying in shame
the unblemished lamb
washing us clean with his blood
dying as a man
Focus on this joy
the choice of almighty God
giving Himself freely
sharing his infinite Love
