By His Breath Alive

More than the stuff of clay
water within us too
by His breath alive
able to walk the earth

God within us
guiding our tentative steps
leading us to share
his love to all we meet

God wanting us
to enter into relationship
to live with one another
in love and harmony

God’s message within us
to be share with the world
to redeem us from the grave
life forevermore

---------------
Who We Are to Him

The journey of these bits of clay
the vessels of our days
seeking our place in the world
how we can serve and obey

Who we are to God
to our savior, our king
the journey of our lives
this, our offering

Longing to see the Christ
to enter in with him
to feel the touch of his hand
to sense his loving care

Understanding the price he paid
taking on my sin
trying to fathom the depth of his love
his grace reconciling me to him
