In my despair
aware of my poverty
my sin washing over me
falling, falling
from deep within the pit
I cry to you oh Lord
How I remember that day
surrendering all
crying, crying
sitting in the pew
feeling the weigh
pulling me down
yet, release
falling away
scales falling away
the weigh falling
released from the shackles
the chains unlocked
falling away
hearing my cries
from deep within the pit
Your hand lifting me
that I may see
the taste of freedom
in you, oh God
only in You
