Struggling still in my life
trying to find my way
yet more at peace in this
trying every day
Wandering, the prodigal
a child of Abraham
yet seeking a way in this world
following the ways of man
You were by my side
even when I didn’t know it
knocking, waiting
when I was ready to come in
And You opened the door for me
to a world of grace, of hope
fulfilled, joy revealed
Your words coming alive
Finding new life in you
a sense of direction for my days
following your commands
the path you had planned for me
Coming into Your presence
feeling You already there
lifting me up from my brokenness
aware I am being transformed
Fitted for your purpose
bending to your will
submitting more each day
that I may truly live
