If We Seek Justice

Shining like the morning sun
God’s favor on us
in service, redefined
redeemed from our death

If we seek justice
if we stand with our neighbors
crying out for freedom
for dignity in this life

God will remember
our humble service
our living witness
in the way we treat our neighbors

Those at the margin
needing our compassion
the least of our brothers, our sisters
humble children of God
