We are mere stewards
clay jars of the Master
vessels of what has been given
holding the days, the hours,
the years within our clay
only stewards, valets,
not controlling completely
the time we have been given
our days upon this earth
What we do with
God’s time is important
a gift from the creator
measured and numbered
before we were born
each given an allotment
gifts for the service
work for each to do
here upon the earth
Some come quickly
at the call of the Master
some turn away
never to come near
yet for those of us, slowly,
God still wooing
calling us to com and follow,
to leave our nets,
to be about our work
