The family and the village

It takes connection
the family and the village
to raise up a child
to hold us together
Needing that bonding
attachment to the group
born into the world vulnerable
needing them to cope
To rise in the circle
the family, the tribe
nurtured from within
safe from harm outside
A breach traumatic
harm to the whole clan
together responding, protecting
safe from the harm outside
