because of his teachings

our lives have meaning
each of us called
we all can serve him
in response to his grace

because of his teachings
Christ here with us
each of us is to live
in communion with God
with our families, our neighbors

none of this about political parties,
government programs or companies,
or even our nation

living in relationship
with our Creator
turning from the world
for his holy purpose
