Our visit to the bookstore a
success
our purchases rung up
waiting for the writing
the embossing of the book
A present for a little one
sharing with her the Word of
God
waiting by the cash register
surveying the whole store
He made a casual comment
how each one had a smile
I remarked that was because
this is a sanctuary from the
world
Even though a place of
commerce
price tags on each one
a place somehow holy
bringing all of us toward
God
Images of our faith
words to lift us up
presents for loved ones
seeking to touch their
hearts
Life in these simple things
to remind us of God’s
presence
keepsakes and the Word of
God
on each shelf for us
