darkness stalked the land
chaos, confusion,
hurting from the bombing
the sudden, huge
explosion
life not making sense
feeling a distance from
God
wanting answers,
direction
feeling loss somehow
but there is Easter
death is not the final
word
life was born, rose with
Jesus
we are set free by the
empty tomb
there is Easter, joy in
heaven
the Lamb seated upon the
throne
there is praise, songs in
heaven
the earth joins in that
song
we can be confident
even in this midst of
such evil
the darkness has not won
the victory in Jesus
we will rise from the
ashes
the confusion, the sorrow
we will walk on new legs
we will follow our Master
