In so many ways,
bronze is so appropriate
we see things so differently
yet together we are stronger
two metals joined, bound
together
united in love
forged into one
Our life a melding, a
blessing
a fusion of two lives
together we are stronger,
more resilient
bounded by human love
the other image,
the anniversary emblem
that of pottery, of fired clay;
that too who we are
a life together,
a vessel
molded by God
stronger by his hand
reshaped for his purpose
to bear love in this land,
this nation
our purpose, our calling,
our hope together
