elemental forces, matter
ancient forces of nature
the waves, the sea
even the wind obeyed
calmed, quieted, a
stillness, peace
as when Christ called to me
gave me my freedom
changing their direction
the storm came to an end
as the sheep called to Jesus
power to change the wind
why are we timid, fearful,
before the one who calms the
sea
why aren’t we at peace
