knowing these ancient
words
these words of prayer in
part
the whole psalm, the
promise
yet we speak with Christ
the petition of the
psalmist
why have you forsaken me
my Father, my God
why do you let them hurt
me
my enemies, in the night
how can You let them get
away
with their crimes, their
sin
I call to You desperate
yet I don’t hear from You
I long for Your presence
to be palpable to me
knowing these ancient
words
to know You are beside me
whatever will be
