In the mist of the morning
my eyes traveling
moving from side to side
the forest revealing its
secrets
to the staccato of the
wipers
the woods as I drive by
In the mist of the morning
softer shades and hues
shafts of brightness
filtered light coming
the forest awakening
as I drive on through
