What was the sky like
that night in the garden
it would have been fitting
that no light graced the
dark
the clouds low, glowering
blocking out the stars
denying the light
It wouldn’t have been right
after the Passover, the
foreboding way
for the stars to be
twinkling,
a full moon rising; no
that night in the garden
was shrouded, all closed in
when Judas ran from the Master’s
words
