Pine sap, oozing, slowly
running down a brown needle
hanging suspended in air
like a glass ornament, a
teardrop
or taffy, pulled, hanging
a small speck of wonder
frozen for those who look
who notice, the amber, the
syrup,
seeing the miracle, the
beauty
all around us, of nature
even in the center of the
city
little moments of wildness
oasis in that desert
