material pleasures – v6

waking from our slumber

the challenge of the word

finding ourselves in this life

in the way of the flesh

in material pleasures

in the way of the world

lost, estranged from God

destined to die

far from our Savior

rejecting the Spirit in all

seeking only creature comforts

too long of the world

turning from our path

repenting of our sins

seeking God more fully

in this do we live
