I hear the horrible reports
the awful video footage
the innocents cut down,
killing his own people
I pray you are given wisdom
wisdom to hear God’s voice,
to do the right thing
in this time and place
As you do for the least of these
so you do for the Christ;
may we act as He would,
consistent in our words
In our actions, loving,
heralds of paradise;
worthy of the name we claim
merciful like Christ
