To Show the Cost – v2

‘I thirst’,
these words of Christ
upon the rugged cross
to show the cost to God
the pain to the human Christ

‘I thirst’,
fully awake, aware,
not wanting to be numb
no myrrh did Christ take
thirst for the Lord
