charged with insurrection – v2

Charged with insurrection
the Christ, the Messiah,
claiming He was a King;
A threat to Rome
that was their charge.

The leaders of the people
the Priests, the Sanhedrin,
bringing Jesus to Pilate;
The Lamb prepared for slaughter
by pagan hands.
