one person speaking – v2

all it takes, sometimes,
one person speaking
standing in the breach
saying not to the majority
to the groupthink.

in the face of a decision
the tide moving
the majority moving one way
that we should not go.

everyone remains silent
not wanting to be singled out
not wanting to stand
against the tide.

all it takes, sometimes,
to change the situation
is one person speaking
to say this is wrong
to pierce the groupthink.
