In the common humanity
in the charge from the Christ
the test of our faith
how we treated the least
Our tragedy too,
though in a distant land
all of them brothers, sisters of Christ
for whom we should do all we can
Nothing of this, the wrath of God
his love complete
all of them children
worthy of grace
Caring for our neighbors
so we are called
to give of our wealth, our compassion
going when we ourselves are called
