Stopping along his way
to care for the injured stranger
Healing his immediate wounds
Carrying him to the inn
to give him a bed;
But providing for him
paying his way,
the time he would need aid
So is the truth
in the face of tragedy
immediate and lasting needs
crying out to the whole world
