In the company of believers
rising before the congregation
to speak words of power, of hope
Sharing Your Word
holy scripture
joy flowing from my heart
words with inflection, passion
for the telling of our faith
our story, with the people
the patriarchs, the saints
with the story of the Christ
our brother before us
sacrificing himself
that each of us may live
Sharing your word
with the congregation
my brothers and sisters of faith
joy flowing as my voice rises
sharing words of your grace
