The members of the people,
the gathered congregation
coming to hear the word
standing before the Lord
All day they listened
the hope, the truth
God’s steadfast love
shared with all the people
all gathered in the square
Hearing again the word of God
standing to listen, joy
overflowing, their arms raised up
in blessing, in prayer,
an homage to the Lord
