Putting on Love

Putting on love
being like Christ
living the ancient scripture
love, part of our flesh
not an outer garment
living in our hearts
our souls beating with love

Changed forever
marked by this teaching
even when we understand
only in part
moving, acting in love

Seeing our neighbors
our brothers, our sisters
in love and forgiveness
drawing close to them

Sharing Christ
all that he offers
exuding from our pores
love, Christ become
a part of ourselves, our flesh
