Standing with the crowd
on the beach, the Sea of Galilee
under the bright sun
listening to Jesus preach from the boat
wanting to be closer to him
Such hope in his message
what power, authority
if only to touch the hem of his robe
to be by his side
What a difference
hearing him speak of God
of love, coming back to him
not like the priests, the scholars
in the synagogue
authentic, real
he seems to be
