Precisely Centered

The verse of scripture
depending how you count them
something important
precisely centered
in the holy word

“It is better to trust in the Lord that to put
confidence in man. It is better to trust
in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.”

If we could all but follow
this one aspect of scripture
if we could trust in God
our lives would be different
the world more loving
all of history better
if we believed in God
