when we are not looking
not paying attention,
when we are blind
not seeking the Lord
that is when God shines more fully
in unlikely places
in faces where we would not expect
to see the face of God
there because he loves us
sent his only son
who promised to be with us
until our work here is done
going before us,
the father, spirit, son
a pillar of fire in the night
or maybe the person
at the grocery store
