Caretakers

Caretakers, stewards
workers of the master
placed in the garden
created by his hands

Our time here limited
but for a moment
God’s creation
meant to live on

We must be mindful
of our role, mortality
needing to leave
the earth for future generation
caretakers only in our time
on this mortal coil
