Impetuous, headstrong
far from perfect
Peter’s humanity
so much like me
So hard for him to understand
Christ’s message in his teaching
the way of love
changing the whole world
Leaving all, yet at his heart
a fisherman still
returning whenever he could
to the waters that he knew
Going onto the waters
walking, following the master
yet fully human, when the winds
reminded him of his fears
