Loving my neighbor
all my neighbors
equal with me
loving them as I love myself.
How would I feel
on the receiving end
of my thoughts, my words,
my actions, all my life?
What would I do
if I saw all of this
reflected in a mirror
back upon myself?
How will I change
having read this verse;
more humbly, I hope
I bow in prayer to thee.
Sharing my walk
more freely, lovingly
seeing all others as equals
a mirror on me
in every word or deed.
