Losing Focus

Walking with Christ
and yet losing focus
wanting divine wrath
for a minor crime

The disciples asking
for holy fire
to smite the ones
who turned them away

Christ chiding
the simple children
who forgot
his lessons of love

We must all
stay focused
on the lamb
who went to the cross
