I know part of his story
the part where he was angry at God
daring to take someone from him
up to heaven above, when he was not ready
And another thing too
deep down in my heart
trying to live my life better
to see her once again
My grammy, my friend
who I lost so long ago
bitter and angry
when God took her home
I know we don’t earn it
a place in heaven above
only by his grace
do we rise with him
But wanting to live
as she did in her life
part of my faithful response
while I walk on this earth
