Maybe as our shepherd
the handler of the oxen
yoked with my sisters and brothers
that we would act as a team
serving our Lord
Christ’s voice calling
gently to us
lovingly urging
with his grace leading
where we need to go
Not with a whip
or loud incessant shouting
Guiding the body
the fields ready
in service to the world
