In our nature
we with feet of clay
fighting with the Spirit
trying to have our own way
Needing to understand
the turning to the Lord
giving up the things of the earth
letting God be in control
Turning our hearts inward
to the Spirit calling to us
beating with our hearts
leading us to him
answering the deepest questions
the yearnings of our hearts
only when we are quiet
hearing his call to us
