Infectious Joy

The joy of this season
the coming of the Christ-child
reminding us of the fulfillment
the love of our God

Not to be contained
limited, concealed
to be given freely
infectious joy streaming
from every part of us

Springing forth
streams overflowing
washing over us
out into the world

We should be singing
joy never-ending
the gift of our God
coming down to the earth
