The words of two thousand years ago
that the time is coming soon
soon Christ will return to earth
and separate the flock
The sheep from the goats
in part how they answered
whether they followed his call
whether we served his Master
The time is coming soon
and soon will be upon us
for our time here is borrowed
known only by the Master
It is true it is two thousand years hence
since Paul spoke to Corinth
yet how many have lived and died
and come before our Maker
We do not know the time we are given
as we traverse this plane
we only know his commission
and his promise to come again
What will we answer
when we come before God
did we serve, did we follow
did we answer the Savior’s call
