Jonah must have listened closely
when God called again
knowing what he knew
how long the fish smell lasted
wanting to survive
though this was the enemy
offering God’s word of warning
to the city he despised
following the Master’s call
even though unwillingly
faithful to the call of God
going to Nineveh
