Time Precious

Time precious
our lives fleeting
God’s measure different
than our sense of time

Time precious
our moments important
not what we do
but our footprints remaining

As seeds scattered
bits of our lives
shattered, shards
all that remains

As seeds scattered
in the choices we make
some on fertile ground
some left as waste

Use the time wisely
only given so much
our time measured
soon returning to dust

Use the time wisely
God’s purpose to unfold
his calling to us ever
our control to unload

We are his servants
the workers in the field
focused on our service
God’s glory to reveal
